Gene Seed Tech

I was talking with Dave last night about Christianity. He was talking about how it was a discovery of the concept of the germ line in the western world. Prior to that, western civilization recognized that like begat like, but the story of Jesus really drove the point home.

I then mentioned that Christianity in fact kept people from the truth, not showed it to them. For thousands of years the entire purpose of the Jesus story was to prevent humans from procreating with anyone other than their spouse, and to think that the human body was the realm of God and none else. It took until Leonardo in the 1500s to begin a study of human anatomy, and his revelations on the topic were not even published until a hundred years after his death.

So then I had to throw in the Ickian angle- that Christianity was designed by a more technologically advanced opressor that wanted control over humanity's genetics.
