Water, water everywhere



So these Autrian physicists are working on the structure of water, and managed this rather impressive effect. By running a strong electic field between two beakers of DI water, the water "arcs" from one beaker to the other, with a net movement from anode to cathode.

They also noted extensive microstuctures in the bridge, possibly indicating that ice is not the only place where we see crystalline formations with water.
